Rocco Minafra

Rocco Minafra, 46, has been found guilty of rape, making a threat to kill, and three charges of sexual assault following a trial at Maidstone Crown Court in the UK.

The charges stem from an incident on the evening of October 18, 2025, in Tunbridge Wells. Minafra, who had been cycling, approached a teenage girl, gained her trust, and then took her to a secluded area where he raped her. After the attack, he threatened to kill her if she reported what happened.

DNA evidence linked Minafra to the attack, and he was arrested two days later, on October 20, 2025. He was subsequently charged with rape, three counts of sexual assault, and making threats to kill. Minafra, of Judd Road in Tonbridge, claimed the sex was consensual during his police interview and denied making any threats.

He appeared before Medway Magistrates' Court on October 23, 2025, and was remanded in custody. His next hearing was scheduled for Maidstone Crown Court on November 23, 2025. The Crown Prosecution Service stated that Minafra "set out to find someone to attack" and targeted the victim.
