Paul Glascott

Paul Glascott, a 42-year-old man from Great Yarmouth, UK, has been involved in significant criminal legal proceedings. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison on July 3, 2026, at Norwich Crown Court, after being found guilty of rape.

The case stems from an incident on May 29, 2022, when a woman reported waking up at an unknown address after a night out, with no memory of how she got there, and realizing a man had attempted to have sex with her. Forensic examinations confirmed intercourse had occurred. Paul Glascott was arrested two days later.

Glascott, whose address was previously noted as Southtown Road in Great Yarmouth, made his first court appearance at Great Yarmouth Magistrates' Court on November 15, 2023, in connection with the rape and attempted rape charges. He denied the charge of rape. The trial commenced on January 27, 2026, at Norwich Crown Court, and he was found guilty by a jury in February 2026. Sentencing, Judge Andrew Shaw described Glascott's actions as a "shameful, cowardly and callous example of a man taking advantage of an incapably drunk woman."
