Damon Furmedge

Damon Furmedge, a 36-year-old man from Winsford, UK, has been involved in multiple public criminal proceedings.

Most recently, Furmedge was found guilty of rape, assault, and two counts of controlling and coercive behavior following an eight-day trial at Chester Crown Court, which concluded on May 29, 2026. He was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Chester Crown Court for sentencing on July 17, 2026. The case originated in November 2024 after police received an anonymous call regarding his conduct towards the victim. The victim initially hesitated to provide information due to fear but later disclosed a history of abuse, including being raped, strangled, and held underwater. She also reported that Furmedge had installed cameras and microphones in her home and monitored her movements via her phone.

In a separate, earlier case, Damon Furmedge was sentenced on January 7, 2016, at Chester Crown Court for outraging public decency by behaving in an indecent manner on November 23, 2015. He also admitted to an additional charge of distributing indecent photographs of a child. This incident involved a consensual sex act with a teenage girl in a Northwich pub, which was filmed and still images were later posted on Facebook by Damon Furmedge. He received a two-year community order with supervision from the probation service. The more serious initial charges of sexual assault against him and three other men (Joshua Furmedge, Robert Anderson, and Paul Snape) were dropped, and they all pleaded guilty to outraging public decency.
