Damian Watson

Damian Watson, 36, of School Close in Liscard, UK, has been sentenced to five years and six months in prison after pleading guilty to kidnapping and causing a person to engage in sexual activity against their will.

The case stems from an incident in April 2026, when Watson, driving a white Mercedes van, posed as an Uber driver outside Anfield Stadium in Liverpool. A woman, who had ordered an Uber, mistakenly entered his vehicle. Watson then kidnapped her, drove her to secluded alleyways, and aggressively demanded she remove her clothing while he filmed her. The victim, fearing for her safety, complied under duress. She eventually made a silent 999 call and contacted her boyfriend, leading police to track Watson to his home address. Officers found his phones, which contained footage of the victim during the ordeal.

Watson was initially charged with kidnapping, voyeurism, false imprisonment, and causing a person to engage in sexual activity against their will. He initially denied all charges. However, at a pre-trial hearing on May 29, 2026, he entered guilty pleas to kidnapping and causing a person to engage in sexual activity against their will, with the other two charges remaining on file.

On June 26, 2026, at Liverpool Crown Court, Watson was sentenced to five years and six months in prison. The court also ordered the seizure and destruction of his phones. The Crown Prosecution Service described Watson as a "predatory offender" who exploited the victim's trust.
