Aderahman Boumzough
Case Information & Details
Aderahman Boumzough, 25, has been convicted and sentenced in the UK for the murder of 15-year-old Rene Graham and the attempted murder of another man. The shooting occurred on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Emslie Horniman's Pleasance Park in Ladbroke Grove, North Kensington, during a family music festival. Boumzough approached a children's play area and fired a single fatal shot into Rene Graham's chest. He then pursued a second victim, attempting to fire again, but the firearm jammed, and he fled the scene.
Boumzough was arrested on September 2, 2025, and subsequently charged the following day with murder and attempted murder. During the investigation, a video was discovered on his phone in which he rapped about a firearm malfunction, stating, "Don't you hate it when your ting jams? I was prepared to take soul, but Allah had a different plan."
Following a two-week trial, Boumzough was found guilty at Woolwich Crown Court on Friday, June 26, 2026. On Friday, July 3, 2026, he was sentenced at Woolwich Crown Court to a minimum of 35 years and 169 days in prison, amounting to a life sentence. Judge Simon James described the killing as "callous and cold-blooded" and noted Boumzough showed no remorse and offered no motive for the "extreme and gratuitous public violence."
Additionally, public court records indicate an earlier hearing for an "Abderahman Boumzough" (with a slight spelling variation) at Bromley Magistrates' Court on June 4, 2026, for an application hearing, and further hearings at Woolwich Crown Court on June 17 and 18, 2026. These earlier listings appear to be related to the proceedings leading up to the trial and sentencing.
